CIVIL PROTECTION ORDERS IN OHIO

A significant portion of my law practice in Columbus, Ohio and the surrounding counties is getting civil protection orders. I can represent anyone who has not been convicted of a felony in the past ten years. In Ohio, the State Legislature entitled the “Victims of Crime Compensation Act.” Anyone who has not been convicted of a felony or domestic violence in the past ten years can have a lawyer represent them at no charge. (After successful completion of a case, resulting in a Civil Protection Order or a consent decree, the attorney can send a bill to the Ohio Attorney General’s office and expect payment in about four months.)

I represent clients irrespective of sex, race, religion, national origin or sexual preference. Everyone is entitled to equal protection orders under the law.
